Varon explained why she felt that way.

During the latest recording of GAW TV with Mickie James, Lisa Marie Varon, SoCal Val and their guest Allie Katch, a conversation took place about being backstage at shows early in their respective careers and how they were treated by different talents whether it was a positive or negative interaction.

Marie Varon went on to mention that she felt uncomfortable backstage at an AEW event. She recounted looking for producer Sarah Stock and while backstage, Varon ‘got the look’ that she took as people questioning what she was doing there.

I even felt that at AEW. I went backstage to go find Sarah (Stock). She goes, ‘Are you gonna come back here to say hi to me?’ I go, ‘Um, can you meet me at the curtain?’ I go, ‘Oh no, all the new talent’ and then of course when I went back there, I got the look like, what the f*ck is she doing here? Excuse my language. I felt uncomfortable. Only Mark Henry, Sarah, (Christopher) Daniels and just the people that we knew, even some of the people that we knew in the past, they were like, ‘Are you gonna watch the second show?’ And I go, ‘Let’s go.’ I felt very uncomfortable.

Back in April, Varon shared that she was “treated like sh*t” when she came back to WWE and was backstage. She did not provide a timeline for when this occurred.
