Bryan Danielson has provided an update on the broken arm he sustained at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in June.

On Twitter, Danielson commented that he had surgery two weeks ago. This involved inserting a steel rod and nine screws into his right forearm.

He suffered the injury during his match with Kazuchika Okada on June 25th at the pay-per-view in Toronto, Ontario.

Danielson added that surgery “went well and I’m on the road to recovery,” before thanking fans for their support and urging them to watch the AEW Dynamite ‘Blood and Guts’ special on Wednesday night.

He initially thought he might be facing a six- to eight-week recovery, but the severity of the injury was worse than first thought.

No timescale for a return to action is yet known.
