WWE Raw continues to ride a wave of momentum with its largest male 18-49 audience since April.
The July 24 edition from Tampa averaged 1,818,000 viewers and 745,000 (0.57) in the 18-49 demographic, per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics.
The show started with 1,894,000 and 0.58 in the 18-49 demographic for the first hour of the show and included Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark, a Cody Rhodes promo, and the start of Dominik Mysterio vs. Sami Zayn. The second hour increased to 1,914,000 and 0.61 in the demo and included the highest quarter of the show for the ending of Mysterio vs. Zayn and a backstage update on Kevin Owens after he was attacked by The Judgment Day. The third hour fell to 1,672,000 viewers and 0.54 in the demo with the main event segment featuring a contract signing between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor for SummerSlam.
Raw’s viewership fell by 2% from last week while the 18-49 audience grew a small amount from 742,000 to 745,000 this week – making it their highest mark in that demo since June 26 and second largest since May 15.
In the 18-49 category, male viewership grew by 5% this week to 518,000 viewers – the largest male audience in the demo since the night after WrestleMania 39. Females in the key demo were down by 8% this week.
Adults 18-34 saw a big jump by 25% to 303,000 viewers with males up 22% and females increasing by 32%.
Adults 35-49 saw a decline of 12%. Females in the demo dropped to 120,000, which is the lowest amount since June 12.
In Canada, Raw averaged 262,100 viewers and 99,900 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360 with viewership down 2% and the demo being even with last week. The show ranked third among sports programs on Monday behind the Toronto Blue Jays vs. L.A. Dodgers, and the women’s soccer game involving Colombia and South Korea.
