Before Eric Young wrapped up with IMPACT Wrestling in 2022 to return to WWE, there was a scene that aired on IMPACT on AXS which saw Deaner repeatedly stabbing Young to write his character off television. Now that Young is back, a follow up to that was shown. A video aired on 8/3 and it showed Young surviving the attack and riding on a motorcycle afterwards.
"A man can be killed, a body can be disposed of; flesh can be removed. But, an idea is eternal; it can live forever. I'm more than a man, more than life, more than death. I am an idea, and I will live forever."@TheEricYoung #IMPACTonAXSTV pic.twitter.com/U1q5lPQBk5

The IMPACT World Tag Team Titles will be on the line at Emergence on August 27th. There is a tournament taking place to determine the next challengers to Subculture’s titles. IMPACT President Scott D’Amore told The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) that if they interfere in any tournament matches, they’ll be suspended indefinitely. Wentz and Miguel went on to defeat ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Jonathan Gresham in their tourney match after Miguel used spray paint in the eyes of Gresham.
Kenny King successfully defended the Digital Media Title when he bested Yuya Uemura and Joe Hendry in a three-way.
To kick off the show, there was an in-ring segment with Emergence opponents, Deonna Purrazzo and Knockouts World Champion Trinity Fatu. Deonna said the difference between them is she’s not a ‘quitter’. The Coven (Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King) came out to set up an impromptu tag match and they defeated Trinity and Purrazzo. The Knockouts World Champion accidentally kicked Purrazzo which led to The Coven getting the victory.
