Mathews describes the schedule that he and Madison Rayne have as ‘perfect’.

Throughout Josh Mathews’ career in wrestling, he’s been an in-ring talent, backstage interviewer and correspondent, commentator and currently, he’s the Senior Producer of IMPACT Wrestling.

Mathews guest appeared on Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James’ Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast and shared that he’d be happy to finish his career in IMPACT if they’ll have him. He shared that note after being asked if AEW has ever asked him to come in. Mathews said he’s ‘informally’ communicated with the company.

Madison Rayne is a coach and wrestler for AEW and Mathews stated that he and his wife have the perfect schedule set up with the way things are now.

Informally (there have been talks with AEW). I think what they’re doing is great. I should start by saying I love IMPACT and if they’ll have me, I’ll stay for the rest of my career and it’s funny because with our (Josh & Madison Rayne) schedules because she’s on the Wednesday show and so, I just don’t know. It really is (a perfect schedule).

He continued speaking about Rayne and revealed that she was the coach for Athena and Willow Nightingale’s ROH Women’s World Title match at Death Before Dishonor

It’s also nice to watch her (Madison Rayne), because for 13 or however many years she’s been doing this, she never made it to that point, to the live TV every week and she coached the main event of the Ring of Honor pay-per-view (Death Before Dishonor) so to have her come back and talk about that and the live aspect of it, yeah, it really is (cool).

On multiple occasions this year, it has been reported by PWInsider that D’Lo Brown was back working IMPACT events as an agent following his departure in 2022. Mathews confirmed that D’Lo is back.

I love D’Lo (Brown). D’Lo is back. He’s back just agenting… and D’Lo to me is a great agent.
