Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Takashi Sugiura is set to make his return after a two-month absence due to an eye injury.
Sugiura has been out of action since having to miss shows in June due to lens subluxation.
The 53-year-old veteran, who has held the GHC Heavyweight Championship four times, required surgery in early July. At least one further eye surgery is expected to be necessary but has been delayed until he retires from in-ring competition.
On Sunday, Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that Sugiura will return to action on September 3rd at the final show of this year’s N-1 Victory tournament.
