IMPACT Wrestling will be staging a pair of shows in Toronto this week at the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).

Prior to its events at the Rebel Entertainment Complex on Sunday & Monday, IMPACT will be holding matches at the annual CNE on Friday, August 25, and Saturday, August 26 on the CNE grounds in downtown Toronto.

There will be a series of matches taking place on Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. featuring Alex Shelley and Gisele Shaw and appearances by Josh Alexander and Santino Marella.

On Sunday, the company holds its Emergence event from the Rebel Entertainment Complex and will be streaming on FITE TV followed by Monday’s set of television tapings.

The CNE has a history with professional wrestling including ‘The Big Event’ in August 1986 headlined by Hulk Hogan and Paul Orndorff which drew 61,470 paid and a sellout with 64,100 in attendance, which was a sold show by the WWF.

In the summer of 2000, Ron Hutchison’s Apocalypse Wrestling Federation held multiple shows per day on the CNE grounds with upcoming talent in and around the Southern Ontario region.
