Gable Steveson competed in his second pro wrestling match at an NXT live event in Florida on Friday night.

Fans in attendance at the show, in Sebring, described him on social media as having a short match with Dante Chen, winning with an ankle lock submission.

Earlier this week, Steveson withdrew from competing in the 2023 World Wrestling Championships in Belgrade, Serbia.

His first pro wrestling match in front of a live audience was at NXT Great American Bash back on July 30th, a no-contest with Baron Corbin that seemed at the time to point to a feud between the two.

Gable Steveson signed with WWE in September 2021. During his college wrestling career at the University of Minnesota, he won two NCAA championships.

The 23-year-old was a 2020 Olympic gold medalist in the freestyle wrestling heavyweight division.
