As NXT on USA Network was underway, it was announced that the 2023 Women’s Breakout tournament is ‘coming soon’. The winner of the tournament secures themselves a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship which was won by Becky Lynch on the 9/12 program.

Following Wes Lee’s loss to Ilja Dragunov to open the show, Wes was shown in the background of a Trick Williams-Carmelo Hayes segment. He was cleaning out his locker and later in the show, he left the Performance Center with his significant other.

While mentioning NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, he’ll be going one-on-one with North American Champion Dominik Mysterio on 9/19. Here is the updated match card for next week’s show:

  • Global Heritage Invitational Group A: Tyler Bate vs. Butch
  • Carmelo Hayes vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • Roxanne Perez vs. Lola Vice
  • Global Heritage Invitational Group B: Joe Coffey vs. Duke Hudson

There was a six-man tag that saw Myles Borne team with Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen to take on Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp and Drew Gulak. Borne turned on Briggs and Jensen and helped the opposition get the victory.

In a Global Heritage Invitational bout, Tyler Bate is facing Charlie Dempsey on the 9/15 edition of NXT Level Up on Peacock.
