Sane assigned to a brand.
As IYO SKY and Bianca Belair were competing for the WWE Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel, SKY’s Damage CTRL faction mate Bayley got involved and tried to aid SKY to victory.
On the outside of the ring, Belair got ahold of Bayley and set her up for a K.O.D. but making the save was the returning Kairi Sane. Kairi took out Belair and when Belair was able to get back in the ring, IYO hit her with a moonsault to retain the championship.
Bayley was on the outside of the ring as Kairi and IYO embraced one another in the ring. Kairi is officially on the SmackDown brand with Damage CTRL (IYO, Bayley & Dakota Kai).
Prior to Crown Jewel, Sane’s last appearance for WWE was in the summer of 2020 and she was beaten down by Bayley in that appearance.
