KOPW Championship bout announced for 11/17 New Japan Road show

New Japan Road on 11/17 will feature a title match.

Before New Japan Pro-Wrestling gets to Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4th, they are going to run their New Japan Road events and the World Tag League tournament is taking place from November 20th through December 10th. 

The New Japan Road event on 11/17 is going to feature a KOPW Championship match between Taichi and the champion SHO. The match type and/or rules for their bout are to be determined. 

SHO has been holding the title since September when he bested Taichi at Destruction in Kobe. Below is the full lineup for the 11/17 New Japan Road event: 

  • Togi Makabe, Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Boltin Oleg, Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima
  • Master Wato & Toru Yano vs. Gedo & Taiji Ishimori
  • YOH, YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto vs. United Empire (Callum Newman, HENARE & Great-O-Khan)
  • Tiger Mask, Shota Umino, Minoru Suzuki & Yuji Nagata vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi)
  • TAKA Michinoku, DOUKI, Yuya Uemura & SANADA vs. HOUSE OF TORTURE (EVIL, Dick Togo, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi)
  • Ryusuke Taguchi, Ren Narita & Tomoaki Honma vs. Tomohiro Ishii, Kazuchika Okada & Hiroshi Tanahashi
  • KOPW Championship: SHO (c) vs. Taichi
