Closing out AEW Full Gear was MJF with the AEW World Championship back in his possession. He defeated Jay White to retain the title. Adam Cole, who is on crutches after undergoing two ankle surgeries, was going to defend the World Title on behalf of MJF following an attack on the World Champion by The Gunns on the Zero Hour pre-show. MJF arrived for the main event in an ambulance and went on to best White.
The duo of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega defeated The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson). With that win, Omega and Jericho now have The Bucks’ AEW World Tag Team Title shot. The other stipulation was that if Omega and Jericho lost, they had to split and Omega would go back with The Elite.
Steve-O from Jackass was ringside for the trios match featuring Adam Copeland, Sting and Darby Allin versus Nick Wayne, Luchasaurus and TNT Champion Christian Cage. The trio of Copeland, Allin and Sting got the win. Ric Flair was in their corner and there was a point in the match when Christian low blowed Flair but was chased out of the venue by Copeland. Post-match, Sting talked with his son who was in the front row and then celebrated with the crowd in what was his final match in the state of California before retiring at Revolution 2024.
Before the Texas Death Match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page got underway, there were dancers for Strickland’s entrance that did Prince Nana’s signature dance. Swerve got the win over Page in the bout after choking him out and Page not being able to get up for a 10 count. Brian Cage and Nana assisted Strickland during the match.
Orange Cassidy held onto his International Championship by defeating Jon Moxley via pin fall.
The AEW World Tag Team Championships remain in Ricky Starks and Big Bill’s possession as the duo outlasted FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler), Kings of the Black Throne (Malakai Black & Brody King) and La Facción Ingobernable (RUSH & Dralístico) in a four-way Ladder match.
