AEW Dynamite hits six-week high in viewership, 18-49 audience

AEW Dynamite hits a six-week high in its viewership for Wednesday’s show featuring the ongoing Continental Classic tournament.

The November 29 episode averaged 858,000 viewers and 386,000 (0.29) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics and Sports Media Watch.

It was the show’s largest figures in both categories since October 17 with viewership up 2% from last week and the 18-48 audience growing by 15%.

On Wednesday, Dynamite aired against a college basketball game between Tennessee and North Carolina, which averaged 1,244,000 viewers and 0.36 in the demo on ESPN, as well as the Detroit Red Wings vs. New York Rangers that attracted 757,000 viewers and 0.24 in the demo on TNT. Dynamite ranked fourth among sports programs for the night.

Adults 18-34 grew by 39% to 159,000 and was the largest audience in that demo since October 2. The demo saw a sizable increase among both males and females from last week.

Adults 35-49 grew 2% to 227,000 this week.

In Canada, the show ranked ninth among sports programs on Wednesday with 102,000 viewers and 47,300 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. Dynamite ranked sixth in the demo among sports shows for the night.

Wrestlenomics reports that the top performing quarter was the first fifteen minutes with Jon Moxley vs. Jay Lethal averaging 969,000 viewers and 421,000 in the demo. The three-minute-overrun at the end picked up 5% in viewers and a 2% growth in the demo for the ending of Swerve Strickland vs. Jay White.
