CM Punk officially joins WWE Raw roster & enters men’s Royal Rumble, goes face-to-face with Seth Rollins

Punk and Rollins meet face-to-face.

After appearing on Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT programming, CM Punk made his decision about which brand he is going to exclusively join.

Raw G.M. Adam Pearce welcomed Punk to the ring and Punk started off by addressing his history in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. He discussed his first appearance for WWE in Cleveland and having Mickie James as his manager, vacating the World Heavyweight Title in the city because of the ambush from Randy Orton and he touched on walking out of the company in 2014.

Punk stated that he wants to leave those ghosts behind him and is focused on the future and he opted to sign with Raw. He apologized to those who felt disappointed by his actions nearly a decade ago. As Punk was celebrating with the crowd, World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins made his way to the ring.

Rollins expressed that he does not want Punk to call WWE his home, seeing as how he’s tried to actively tear it down over the last 10 years. He said he wants to defend WWE from people like Punk. Rollins added that he hates Punk, but wants him on Raw and he expects Punk to either self-destruct or maybe he’ll get to the point where he earns a World Heavyweight Championship match. If that happens, Rollins said he’ll expose Punk himself.

Once Rollins spoke his peace, Punk called Adam Pearce back to the ring and said they should make it official that he is going to enter the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match and if he is victorious, maybe he’ll come after Rollins. This past Friday on SmackDown, Punk said he wants to finish what he started and that is main eventing WrestleMania.
