Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage saw the show post one of its lowest 18-49 audiences ever.
The December 15 edition of Rampage, which aired against an NBA game and going head-to-head with ROH’s Final Battle card, averaged 308,000 viewers and 107,000 (0.08) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.
The audience dropped by 10% from the previous week but the 18-49 audience took a major hit with a 31% decline from last week.
It was Rampage’s second-lowest 18-49 audience in history when the show aired in its normal time slot. The lowest was set one year ago on December 2, 2022, when Rampage averaged 101,000 viewers in the demo.
The show also ran against the New York Knicks vs. Phoenix Suns, which averaged 1,282,000 viewers and 0.43 in the demo on ESPN, per Sports Media Watch.
The largest loss was among female viewers, which dropped at a dramatic rate across the board.
Women 18-49 fell by 59% from last week (59,000 to 24,000), women 18-34 dropped by 31% (13,000 to 9,000) and females 35-49 decreased by 67% (46,000 to 15,000).
For males in the same demos, it was 18-49 dropping by 14%, 18-34 declining by 31%, and 35-49 down by 6%.
The show was headlined by a match that received rave reviews in advance with Action Andretti & Top Flight beating Penta El Zero Miedo, Komander & El Hijo del Vikingo.
This was not the first time an ROH event has aired head-to-head with Rampage but it was the first to stream exclusively on Honor Club rather than on pay-per-view and in theory, making it more accessible than previous events.
