Saint was the General Manager of NXT UK.
When WWE’s NXT U.K. brand was formally established in 2018, it was revealed by Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque that taking on the on-screen General Manager role would be Johnny Saint, who had an in-ring career that went from 1962 to 2015.
The NXT U.K. brand was scrapped in August 2022 and the company announced their intentions to launch NXT Europe.
While guest appearing on Wrestling With Johners, Johnny Saint expressed that he enjoyed his time with WWE.
It did actually, yes (Saint agreed that his time in WWE started with a guest coaching role) and here again, my memory’s letting me down badly here. But I enjoyed the period I had with them. Yes, coaching and yeah, definitely.
Speaking about the G.M. role, Saint said he had fun with it. On the topic of NXT U.K. no longer being in operation, Saint said he thinks it was shut down because of the taxes that WWE were paying in England.

The latest on NXT Europe came from Shawn Michaels via the Deadline P.L.E. media call. He stated that there is no new information other than they are still working on it and the region is an important one for the company.
