He’ll be wrapping up with the company after being with AEW since the early stages.
Fightful Select first reported that they learned ‘word within the industry’ is that AEW Vice President of Live Events and Touring, Rafael Morffi, will be finishing up with the company.
PWInsider reported that Morffi is set to leave after their Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30th. The site notes that Morffi informed AEW of his plans to wrap up during their Montreal events. Morffi accepted a senior executive position with the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Morffi got started with AEW in 2019 and it was his initial contact with Cody Rhodes that got the ball rolling as far as him joining full-time.
