10-minute Ishimori Ring Fit match for KOPW Title set for NJPW The New Beginning in Nagoya

The stipulation has been decided.

Starting off New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s The New Beginning tour is their stop in Nagoya on January 20th. It had already been decided that Taiji Ishimori was going to defend the KOPW Championship against Great-O-Khan, but the voting for their match stipulation had yet to be determined. 

O-Khan’s stipulation proposal was a Bull Rope Death Match and Ishimori proposed a 10-minute Ishimori Ring Fit match which won the poll at 77.4 percent. Below are the rules for their upcoming bout: 

Ishimori will defend his KOPW 2024 belt against Great-O-Khan in a 10-minute Ishimori Ring Fit match. 10 minutes will be on the clock, with the last title holder at the end of the time limit the victor. Additionally, at three minute intervals, the two must stop for 30 seconds of high intensity circuit training.

In addition to that, El Phantasmo and Hikuleo are going to be putting their STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles on the line against KENTA and Chase Owens. As of this writing, here is the updated lineup for The New Beginning in Nagoya:

  • United Empire (Callum Newman, Francesco Akira, TJP, HENARE & Jeff Cobb) vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Drilla Moloney, Clark Connors, Gabe Kidd, Alex Coughlin & David Finlay)
  • Master Wato & El Desperado vs. SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru
  • Togi Makabe, Tomohiro Ishii, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kazuchika Okada vs. T.M.D.K. (Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls & Zack Sabre Jr.)
