The semifinal matches in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament are set. On 1/23, Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin are taking on Axiom and Nathan Frazer and on the opposite side of the bracket, LWO (Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde) bested Chase University’s Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne to advance to the next round where they’ll face Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. In LWO’s first-round match, they were accompanied to the ring by Zelina Vega.

Headlining the 1/16 program was a Battle Royal to determine a new number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. The bout was won by Roxanne Perez. Also in the match was Madi Wrenkowski, who is now donning the name ‘Wren Sinclair’. There was a moment in the bout when Lola Vice eliminated her tag partner Elektra Lopez. Vice was then thrown out by Tatum Paxley and when Vice and Lopez went face-to-face, they began to brawl.

WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield appeared and gave Josh Briggs advice about how to move forward with his career. J.B.L. is who selected Briggs to get a chance to secure himself a spot in the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at Deadline.

Newly crowned NXT North American Champion Oba Femi was approached by Dragon Lee. Lee asked Femi for a rematch which was declined. He followed up by staking claim to a title match at Vengeance Day and Femi said he’d think about it.

Announced for 1/23 is Lexis King versus Trey Bearhill.
