AEW Dynamite drops in viewership, ranks second among cable originals

AEW Dynamite experienced a decline in viewership while ranking second among cable originals on Wednesday.

The January 24 episode from Savannah averaged 837,000 viewers and 361,000 (0.27) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

The show ranked behind Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the day while experiencing a 6% drop in viewership and a 17% drop off with its 18-49 audience.

In the key demo, female viewership fell from 137,000 to 96,000 viewers while men saw a drop from 298,000 to 254,000. It was Dynamite’s lowest female viewership in the 18-49 demo since December 20.

Adults 18-34 fell 14% to 158,000.

Adults 35-49 were down by 19% to 203,000.

In Canada, the show averaged 126,000 viewers and 63,100 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2, which were declines of 25% and 13% respectively from last week. Tuesday’s edition of NXT topped Dynamite this week with 142,000 viewers, although NXT only averaged 49,700 in the demo.

Dynamite was promoted around the return of Minoru Suzuki to an AEW ring and a first-time match with Adam Copeland as well as an AEW Trios Titles match with The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass vs. The Mogul Embassy.
