Reed explains why he stepped away from MLW.

In January of 2023, Myron Reed became a free agent. Prior to that, he had been contracted to Major League Wrestling for four-and-a-half years.

Throughout his run there, Reed captured the World Middleweight Title on three occasions. While being interviewed by MuscleManMalcolm, Reed explained why he’s no longer with MLW, adding that it had to do with the schedule and compensation.

When I was there, I was just noticing the schedule was very light and I was getting the same amount of money I was getting on the indies. So I was like, I’d rather just be my own boss, until I figure it out, grow on my own, do my own thing. Move in my own footstep, you know what I’m saying?

He said there’s still a friendship intact between him and MLW CEO Court Bauer. Reed said they are not best friends, but they’re good with one another. He is open to returning to the organization as a freelancer.

I think so (the relationship between Court Bauer & myself is in good standing). Yeah, it’s pretty good. I mean, it’s not like he’s my best friend but… if everything worked itself out, I’d go there and work for them again. But not signing of course, but I’d definitely go and work for them.

In late 2023, Reed made his IMPACT Wrestling debut and tagged with fellow members of The Rascalz, Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel.

The antitrust lawsuit that MLW filed against WWE was settled and a filing revealed that MLW received a $20 million payout.
