John Cena will be in an executive producer role for WWE’s newest docuseries.
“WWE Next Gen” will premiere on April 1, presenting a reality show that “follows a group of young men and women competing to earn one of the most sought-after titles in all of entertainment: WWE Superstar,” per a release describing the series.

The upcoming show, which will become available on Roku early next month, attempts to provide a look behind the curtain of the earliest stages of WWE trainees. A trailer for the series shows includes interviews with both trainers and the experienced wrestlers who will be training them.
An opening shot in the preview sees Cena talking to a group of trainees at last year’s Wrestlemania. The show also includes moments with Paul Levesque, Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, and others.
Roku first announced the show last year, shortly after filming kicked off during Wrestlemania weekend.
