CM Punk agrees to guest commentate Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 40

Punk will be on the call for the World Title match.

The March 25th edition of Monday Night Raw emanated from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. CM Punk made his return to television and while in the ring, he stated that he is not medically cleared yet but his mouth works. Punk then brought up the idea of Chicago hosting WrestleMania.

He went on to state that he’ll see Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns soon, as Punk is on his way up the mountain and Reigns is on his way down. He mentioned Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson not mentioning him and brought up the ‘arms to short to box with God’ line.

This led to Drew McIntyre making his way to the ringside area and Punk told him to get his “b*tch ass” in the ring. McIntyre stated that he does not hate Punk and that Punk completes him. Punk asked McIntyre who christened him ‘The Chosen One’ and what is the name of the individual who gave him that name. He followed up by asking what ‘paragon of good will’ decided that McIntyre is The Chosen One.

McIntyre then asked Punk to be the special guest commentator for the WWE World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania. Seth Rollins joined the fray. The crowd began chanting for Punk to be the special guest referee for the title match and Punk began counting with his off-hand. He added that he does not think he can be fairly objective with the two ‘dipsh*ts’ in the ring.

Punk then agreed to be the commentator. McIntyre stated that Punk does not get the last word but he ended up being taken out by the World Heavyweight Champion.
