WWE Raw hits four-year high, massive audience for Cody Rhodes & The Rock

The Raw After WrestleMania episode on Monday generated the program’s largest audience in years coming off a very successful WrestleMania 40.

The April 8 show from Philadelphia averaged 2,362,000 viewers and 1,092,000 (0.83) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

It was the show’s largest audience since February 17, 2020, and the top 18-49 audience since September 2019. Compared with last week, the audience increased by thirty-two percent and the core audience grew by forty percent.

Even more impressive is that Raw aired against the NCAA men’s basketball final between UConn and Purdue, which averaged 14,820,000 viewers across TBS, TNT, and truTV, according to Sports Media Watch.

The show included a commercial-free first hour involving a lengthy in-ring segment involving Cody Rhodes and The Rock, which peaked with 3,190,000 viewers and 1,450,000 in the 18-49 demographic between 8:30 and 8:45 p.m. ET, which was one of Raw’s largest quarter hours in years.

The first hour averaged 2,860,000 viewers and 1,303,000 in the 18-49 demographic featuring Paul Levesque introducing Cody Rhodes and being confronted by The Rock over the first forty-five minutes of the show.

The second hour dropped to 2,308,000 viewers and 1,072,000 in the demo, and the final hour averaged 1,920,000 viewers and 899,000 in the demo with the Fatal Four-Way in the main event.

Raw averaged 360,300 viewers in Canada and 114,600 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The show ranked fourth among sports programming on Monday behind the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Seattle Mariners, Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Pittsburgh Penguins, and the NCAA men’s final.
