New Openweight Tag Team Champions are crowned.
There was a four-way tag for the STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships at NJPW Windy City Riot. Going into the bout as champions were Hikuleo and El Phantasmo. Their opponents were Tom Lawlor and Fred Rosser, West Coast Wrecking Crew (Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson) and T.M.D.K. (Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls).
The conclusion of the bout saw El Phantasmo and Hikuleo setting up for their finisher, but Haste jumped on the apron and made a tag. He then snuck in the ring to capitalize on the finisher and secured the titles for himself and Nicholls.
As the new champions jetted up the entrance ramp, West Coast Wrecking Crew beat down Rosser and their former Team Filthy stablemate, Tom Lawlor. During the bout, Lawlor broke up a pin that stopped Royce and Nelson from becoming champions.
Royce and Nelson then cut Lawlor’s hair and put the hair in Rosser’s mouth.
