Former WWE wrestler Erick Rowan has withdrawn from future independent shows due to “new contractual arrangements.”

That is according to East Coast Pro Wrestling (ECPW), which had booked the 42-year-old for its Coal Town Carnage event next weekend.

The Nova Scotia promotion issued a statement on Saturday, suggesting that it was one of several promotions affected.

We have just received word this evening from Erick Rowan that unfortunately he will not be able to make his scheduled appearance next week at Coal Town Carnage.

Erick stated that new contractual obligations are preventing him from making several dates including ours.

The details of the contractual obligations for the former Wyatt Family member are not yet known. Recent on-screen hints that are reminiscent of the late Bray Wyatt’s “White Rabbit” mystery have appeared on WWE television.
