WWE lead announcer Michael Cole is reportedly stepping back from his management role over the company’s commentary team.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cole has “pulled back” from his management role to concentrate on his on-screen duties on Raw and WWE’s premium live events.

Johnson reports that Sue Cundari, who worked with Cole in his supervisory capacity, will be overseeing the commentary team in the future. The decision is reportedly Cole’s.

Cundari, who joined WWE in 1995, is Director of On-Air Talent Operations.

Cole, 57, has been with WWE since 1997. Real name Sean Michael Coulthard, he began a career in journalism in 1988 for CBS Radio.
