Eddie Edwards weighs in on Scott D’Amore’s exit from TNA Wrestling

The latest TNA talent to be asked their opinion on the subject was Eddie Edwards.

TNA Wrestling is three months removed from Scott D’Amore being terminated from his role as President of the company. D’Amore was replaced by Anthem Sports & Entertainment executive Anthony Cicione.

Multiple talents on the roster have weighed in on D’Amore’s exit and what he has meant to them over the years. The latest to do so was Eddie Edwards while he was doing a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest.

Scott (D’Amore) was TNA too. He breathed it, bled it, that’s all he did so, losing him and he’s a great friend and it was like losing a father in a divorce type thing. That’s the best way to compare it. It was a shock, a lot of change but, in the end with the group that we have, we all know what we have to do. We go out there in the ring and we do our job and that’s what we love to do, it’s what we believe in, we all believe in the company and (in the) wrestling world, things change. You never know when someone’s gonna leave or come back or whatever so, Scott put so much into it. It’s much appreciated of course but, we’re doing what we do. We wanna survive and we wanna thrive. That’s the goal.

Edwards is one-half of the current TNA World Tag Team Champions alongside Brian Myers. Both talents will be competing in the Champions Challenge 16-person tag on the 5/16 episode of TNA iMPACT.
