Pac vs. Rocky Romero

Rampage kicked off with “The Bastard” Pac taking on Rocky “Azucar” Romero with Chris Jericho and Big Bill on commentary. The two started off lightning quick exchanging high-flying and technical maneuvers.

Pac won in just over seven minutes via the Brutalizer submission. After the match, Penta and Fenix joined Pac on the stage and Pac cut a promo saying that they’ll see The Gunns on both Collision and Double or Nothing. The announce team clarified that it would be the Lucha Bros vs The Gunns tomorrow night on Collision and then Death Triangle vs. Bang Bang Gang for the Trios Titles at Double or Nothing.

The Learning Tree

As the segment ended, Chris Jericho got up from the announce table and grabbed a mic and explained “For the World” rules meant mayhem and even thought it’ll be hard to fight two guys, it’s all about facing adversary. Shibata then interrupted running down and brawling with Big Bill to the back. Then from the crowd Hook surprised Jericho with the Redrum, pulling him through the sea of people.

After the commercial break, Renee Paquette interviewed Hook and Shibata in the back and Hook said that he didn’t care who his opponent was, he would get his FTW title back. Samoa Joe then interrupted and said when they faced each other a few months ago, he thought he saw something special but instead of working together, they were fighting each other. After they walked off, Shibata said through his phone “After I win the FTW title in Las Vegas on Sunday, I am going to see Carrot Top. He is funny.”

Samoa Joe

Next up, Samoa Joe took on Dom Kubrick and defeated him in just over one minute.

Deonna Purrazzo

Renee Paquette interviewed Deonna Purrazzo in the back and informed Deonna that Thunder Rosa wanted her to name a time and a place. Deonna suggested them facing off on the Buy-In for Double or Nothing.

Rush vs. Kassidy

Next, Rush took on Isiah Kassidy who’s partner Marq Quen who recently had returned from injury has disappeared again without explanation.  Rush jumped Kassidy just as the bell rang decimating him. Rush had his opponent beat in about twelve seconds but instead stopped the pinfall attempt, choosing to continue the assault on Kassidy using a power cable to whip and choke him.

The show went to picture in picture and as it returned Kassidy had recovered and was actually in control of the match until Rush backflipped him off the apron onto the outside. Rush then hit The Horns for the win.

The Cage of Agony

Arkady Aura interviewed Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony and Kaun said The Mogul Embassy was dead and gone. Brian Cage cut a promo saying that they could beat The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass any time. Cage called him and his team “The Cage of Agony”.

The Debut of Alex Windsor

The main event of Rampage was Willow Nightingale & Kris Statlander taking on Anna Jay and the debuting Alex Windsor. The commentary team talked a lot about Windsor and her successes in Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling and RevPro.

Alex Windsor had an impressive showing but succumbed to the Babe with the Powerbomb by Willow for the victory. After the match, Mercedes Moné came out and brawled with Willow until the two were separated by officials. The show ended with Moné holding the TBS title above her head before throwing it back at Willow.

Final Thoughts

Unsurprisingly, this was a largely skippable episode of Rampage just as most have been as of late. The only significant news coming out of the show was the additions of Thunder Rosa vs. Deonna Purrazzo to the Double or Nothing Buy-In on Sunday and the Lucha Bros vs. The Gunns tomorrow night on Collision. The main event was a good match with the debuting Alex Windsor and the crowd was hot for it.

Announced for the Collision Tomorrow in Las Vegas:

  • Lucha Bros vs. The Gunns

Announced for the Double or Nothing Buy-In:

  • Thunder Rosa vs. Deonna Purrazzo
