Liv Morgan is the new Women’s World Champion after a miscalculation by Dominik Mysterio at WWE King and Queen of the Ring.
The title change came at the end of the first match of the main card of the PLE at the Jeddah Superdome.
In the late going of the match with Becky Lynch, Mysterio appeared at ringside. He had earlier stated that he would stop Morgan from winning the title because, in storyline, she was responsible for injuring Rhea Ripley.
His plan backfired as he threw a chair into the ring for Becky to use while the referee was unsighted. Instead, Morgan was able to DDT Lynch onto the chair before hitting Oblivion for the win.
