Former TNA and WWE creative team member Robert Evans (best known as “RD Evans) has reportedly found a new home in AEW.
Evans worked last weekend’s episode of AEW Collision and is expected to work once again at Wednesday’s Dynamite taping, per a report from PWInsider. His presence at AEW events comes just weeks after he wrapped up his lengthy run as part of TNA Wrestling’s team.
Evans, 40, reportedly exited TNA in late May after his relationship with the promotion had “grown strained,” per Dave Meltzer. He had been with them since 2019, working on the creative team as a producer and writer, coming over after a four-year run as part of WWE’s team.
Prior to his time as a member of creative teams for both WWE and TNA, Evans had a decade-long career as a wrestler. Among his bookings were appearances in Chikara, ROH and Texas-based promotion PCW. He retired in 2015 and has since made one singular appearance, wrestling Orange Cassidy on a Beyond card in 2019.
