AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland will appear as part of tonight’s episode of Dynamite.
The promotion announced Wednesday that “We’ll hear from” Strickland on the upcoming episode of Dynamite, which is set to take place at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.
It’s unclear whether Strickland will appear in person at the event, or if a backstage/pre-taped segment featuring him will air during the program.
Strickland’s next expected title match will come at Forbidden Door on June 30, facing fellow titleholder Will Ospreay.
Before he meets Strickland, Ospreay will put his AEW International Championship on the line against Rey Fenix on this week’s episode of Dynamite.
Tonight’s episode of Dynamite will take place in front of roughly 2,300 fans in Iowa, per an estimate published last week by WrestleTix. With just a few hours before the event is set to take place, here’s how tonight’s AEW Dynamite looks:
