A new deal for Seven Bucks.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions have inked a multi-year first-look deal with The Walt Disney Company, per The Hollywood Reporter. Johnson and Garcia are going to develop films for theater and streaming platforms.

Johnson could potentially star in said films and Seven Bucks will be able to collaborate across different Disney divisions.

Johnson and Disney have worked together on several projects, including Johnson returning as the voice of ‘Maui’ in Moana 2. Disney is a broadcast partner for the UFL football league, which Johnson and Garcia are co-owners of.

The first-look deal that has been agreed to is when a producer or production company has an agreement with a studio or network to take any idea they want to develop to that specific network first. If the network passes on it, the producer can take the idea to other buyers.
