Matt Sydal undergoing procedure to correct long-term foot injury

Matt Sydal, who has been dealing with tremendous difficulties with his right for over a decade is having the problem corrected.

Sydal posted that he is undergoing a procedure to have three bones broken and re-fused and have his toes set into the joints.

He thanked the AEW medical staff for their assistance and didn’t share a timetable for his rehabilitation process.

Sydal was involved in a motorcycle accident in 2012 where he broke his foot in four places and had multiple dislocations, which caused him to miss a year of action while working at WWE.

Sydal debuted for AEW at All Out 2020 and had been wrestling for both AEW and Ring of Honor over the past year. Sydal’s last appearance was on the May 22 episode of Dynamite where he wrestled Konosuke Takeshita.
