AEW’s Mercedes Moné made a surprise appearance in Mexico on Friday night to confront her Forbidden Door opponent, Stephanie Vaquer.

Vaquer had just successfully defended the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title against La Catalina when Moné made her appearance at a loud Arena Mexico.

Moné grabbed a microphone and said:

Hola, Mexico! Please say hola to your CEO and your TBS Champion, Mercedes Moné. Stephanie, how cool is that? Congratulations, you look beautiful tonight. You are definitely not the same Stephanie I faced one year ago at New Japan Resurgence.

I can see why you call yourself “La Primera”, but at Forbidden Door, I’m going to show you why I’m the CEO, “La Jefa”, because money changes everything.

Translated from Spanish, Vaquer responded:

Mercedes, you are in my house, bitch, and here we speak Spanish. I am currently one of the most dominant luchadoras in the world. And you know what? I have three championships, but soon [points at TBS Title] that will be mine.

The two then got physical, with Moné slapping Vaquer, and then taking a headbutt for her troubles. An official separated the two women, and Moné danced around the ring holding both her and Vaquer’s titles before leaving.

The pair will face off in a Winner Takes All Match for both the TBS and NJPW STRONG Titles at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 30th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.
