Mercedes looks back at Saraya’s injury from 2017.
While guest appearing on HOT 97, Mercedes Mone was asked about the injury that Saraya suffered in 2017 that led to her stepping away from the ring for nearly five years.
Saraya took a kick to the back from Mercedes at a WWE house show. Saraya publicly stated that the injury is not Mone’s fault.
Mercedes stated that she was depressed by it and heard the noise from the fans about her not being safe.
This past Sunday at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Mone bested Stephanie Vaquer to hold onto the TBS Title and captured the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship. Afterwards, Britt Baker made her return to AEW.
