AEW Collision received a boost this past Saturday after last week’s airing against the WWE Money in the Bank event.
The July 13 taped edition of Collision from Calgary averaged 362,000 viewers and 184,000 (0.14) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.
Wrestlenomics reports that Collision ranked #24 on cable on Saturday due to all the extensive news coverage of the assassination attempt on Donald Trump.
It was a bounce back as viewership grew by 18 percent while the 18-49 audience increased 64 percent from the previous week. It was Collision’s largest viewership in two weeks and its highest demo audience since June 22.
In the key demo, males grew to 128,000 viewers and up by 73 percent while females improved by 47 percent to an average of 56,000 from last week’s numbers.
Adults 18-34 went from 32,000 viewers to 62,000 this week while adults 35-49 saw a gain of 53 percent this week.
The UFC Fight Night card aired head-to-head with Collision and averaged 1,009,000 viewers and 0.44 in the 18-49 demographic on ESPN. The prelims averaged 625,000 and 0.26 in the demo before Collision started.
Since the show was taped in Canada, it aired on TSN 2 and averaged 31,000 viewers and 24,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2. The show aired against the main card of the UFC Fight Night event, which averaged 29,000 viewers and 8,000 in the demo on Sportsnet 360 with the prelims averaging 14,000 and 6,000 respectively.
