Rhodes speaks candidly.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was the latest guest to sit down with Chris Van Vliet for an interview. Along the way, Rhodes spoke candidly about his time in All Elite Wrestling.

Looking at how his time there ended, he said it was ‘terrible’ and there are going to be respective books written along with stories coming out about that time period.

He went on to state that there’s a certain section of the AEW fan base that need the story to be that they did not want him. He was always fine was accepting that role and position because of the respect he has for the company. Regardless of any ‘petty squabbles,’ Rhodes will always have love for AEW.

Further speaking about his time there, Rhodes said he knew AEW was not the be-all and end-all for him and there was ‘something greater’ out there. He went on to admit that he did not like how in The Young Bucks’ book, it is mentioned that he was the last person to sign.

Rhodes touched on how that can be turned into, ‘Oh, he was last. He wasn’t that big a deal to the origin.’ Rhodes said he was last but was just as in on the idea as anybody else was.
