Levesque fields questions in London.
It was publicly announced that there was a meeting held involving Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. They discussed their shared ambition to bring WrestleMania to London.
While in the U.K., Levesque, Nick and Sadiq fielded questions from various media outlets. Daily Mail’s Alex McCarthy spoke to Levesque and asked him if there’s an update on the status of MVP and Bobby Lashley. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that Lashley’s contract is set to expire.
No (there’s no updates I can give on Bobby Lashley & MVP). Just like any sport, any business, we sign talent, talent contract runs out, we release talent. It’s just part of the process so it’s an ongoing thing.
That answer was followed up by asking about the status of Brock Lesnar in WWE. Lesnar was named in the Wall Street Journal’s reporting of Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE.
Lesnar was subsequently removed from the WWE Supercard video game and taken off the WWE 2K24 ’40 Years of WrestleMania’ cover. Levesque said the following about Brock:
You’d have to ask Brock Lesnar that (how close is he to returning). Brock does his own thing so, he’s up in Canada I’m sure, watching his kids play hockey, enjoying life. If and when he decides he would like to do something, we’re open to the conversation but we’ll see.
