The first match for WWE Bash in Berlin was announced during the opening segment of Raw.

Gunther accepted the challenge by Randy Orton as the two will have a rematch on August 31 when the promotion heads to Berling for its next premium live event.

The backstory is Gunther’s win against Randy Orton at King of the Ring in May was tainted due to Orton’s shoulders not being down and Triple H stating that Orton would get a rematch.

Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest this past weekend at SummerSlam.

While born in Austria, Gunther has extensive ties to Germany through his years of work with the wXw promotion and is expected to be a major focal point of the promotion.
