The UFC is set to return to Salt Lake City for a pay-per-view this fall.

The promotion has confirmed that UFC 307 be taking place at the Delta Center in Utah on Saturday, October 5.

The event poster includes logos for the Utah Sports Commission and Smith Entertainment Group and represents the third pay-per-view to run in Salt Lake City since 2022.

In 2010, the UFC had been set to hold a Fight Night event in Salt Lake City but due to ticket sales, moved the event to San Diego and didn’t run an event in the state for another six years.

The UFC staged UFC 278 in August 2022 and returned last year for UFC 291 at the Delta Center.

The Salt Lake Tribune reported last year on how the state secured two UFC events in recent years with the help of the two entities:

The Utah Sports Commission paid an undisclosed sum in sponsorship fees to entice the UFC, and Smith Entertainment Group put the cherry on top by guarding against low-ticket-sales fears with Smith putting up some of his own money in a multi-seven figure gate guarantee.

This year’s card will go head-to-head with WWE’s Bad Blood premium live event at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
